Surprisingly Relaxed and Enjoying the Evening

It appears Tuesday that I was a bit bothered with the amount of work to be undertaken. If only it was known that the following days would be filled an almost non-existant agenda. Yes there were classes to attend on Wednesday, but today there was absolutely nothing to bother my fancy. Therefore, I used what was left of daylight, after such a long slumber, to purchase gifts for Christmas day. I spent more than I should, which was rather disturbing. The amount of people trying to fulfill the same goal as I was nearly insufferable. I could hardly tolerate the incompetence of several drivers in the parking lots. However, all was well and there are few gifts to obtain remaining. And so, the rest of my day was spent in leisure. I have viewed two films, one of which was much more pleasing than the other, the latter called Lost in Austen. It was a very insightful undertaking of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice. The discourse that they use in such novels is respectable and admirable, which is why I compose this post in such a way. The art of writing has deteriorated over the years, becoming contemporary and easy to understand, leaving no room for one's own interpretations. Literature is created to incite thinking, to spur emotion, and to yield knowledge. What do we gain from reading if there is no opportunity for analysis? Yes, many modern books achieve some degree of depth for the purpose of analysis; however, it is juvenile.
On to different subjects. It is almost two o'clock in the morning, and my co-habitant is not back from his studies at the campus library. He has taken to an illness recently due to lack of rest and further denying himself sleep will not resolve the matter. I am filled with the anticipation of the holidays. I cannot wait to return home and be reunited with friends and family. The winter hiatus will bring much needed relief. However, the thought of having nothing to busy myself with is troubling. As pleasing as it may seem to waste your day with leisure, it is at times intolerably boring. I have however accumulated several novels which I plan to read over the break. I have truly missed the luxury of reading a text of my choice. In fact, I will begin to do so immediately. Therefore I must bid you goodnight dear blog, which is probably never read, and depart. If anyone is out there reading, let me know of your existence. Follow me, leave kind sentiments. They would be greatly appreciated.
Good evening or good morning rather,
Until next time...............
