All Moved In...

Okay so I made it here and I am glad to tell you that I did not break down and cry when I said goodbye to my family. It doesn't mean I won't later though. But I have to say thank you to my friend who was there with me so I wouldn't lose it. Although I came pretty pretty close to. So, this first day has been pretty good. I almost said great, but it has just been pretty good. After my parents left we came back on campus and got my computer certified. I couldn't figure it out and so this asian girl had to help us. Thank God. I was actually embarrassed because I am half asian and I probably should have figured it out myself. But anyway, we then trekked across the street. Which I would consider pretty dangerous in order to get to Campus Safety. We got our parking decals and then headed back. It was then time for our RA group meeting and we introduced ourselves and then went out to play a game. It is called electric fence. I don't know if any of you guys have heard of it. But anyway what we did is there were two caution tape lines. One went from one tree to the light post and then the other went from the light post to another tree. We competed against the second floor. What we had to do was to get everyone over that line without touching the tape. This tape was pretty high and I thought it was an impossible feat. Whichever team got over first won, and if at any time a team member touched the tape you would have to get everyone to the other side and start all over again. So, someone touched it when we were almost done and we had to start all over again. I was nervous and didn't know how I was going to get across. They were also looking at me thinking I could help them lift, but this would not work because I am not strong at all. AT ALL. So, I ended up running and jumping that tape like a hurdle and I made it! It was fun. We also had to get an overweight person across and it was a sticky situation. Everyone was very tactful though and we did it! It was amazing and endearing. We ended up winning as the last person of our team did a superman dive into open arms on the other side of the tape. It was exhilarating. After that we went in and talked about sexual harassment and it went downhill from there. We had a chance to do some other activities, but after I went to the room for a bit I didn't feel like it. So then I decided to go out and track down some friends of mine. We walked around until it started raining and then I met up with a friend I had at NYLF. We ended up playing Scrabble in the Middle Ground. It was nice to talk and catch up. So afterwards, here I am in my dorm, finished with the shower and bathroom, and blogging before bed. And let me just tell you. I have seen the biggest roaches walking around outside. Huge. You can take a saddle and ride those things into town, as my latin teacher would say. But anyway, I have no idea what is in store for tomorrow. I will post again. Until then,
Goodnight.
